At the foundation we offer classes to children 5 and above regardless of aptitude and financial need when possible. The maestro has been teaching fencing and making strides over the past 8 years with ADD diagnosed students and children believed to have a mild form of autism at several schools in Central Florida.
Our goal is to help them learn how they learn fastest and retain the most so they can become talented fencers and well rounded students with high aptitude for learning anything. In this process they become better students overall, more athletic developing more coordination skills, learn to focus, problem solve and apply positive self correction during class and fencing bouting experiences.
The discipline factor is kept high during class, while fun and intellect is emphasized as the ultimate goal.
There is also a very active community of Wheelchair Fencers in the US and abroad. Wheelchair fencing is part of the Paralympics and is truly a sport where the disabled can compete at the highest levels of athleticism.
